By using this Site and posting a comment, you are agreeing to use the Site in accordance with these rules.

When using the comments section of the Site you must NOT:

BAD LANGUAGE: use swearing of any kind (even with ***s!).

UNLAWFUL OR OBJECTIONABLE: post any comments that are unlawful, obscene, indecent, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, sexually oriented, profane, racially offensive or otherwise objectionable or promotes cruelty, violence, vandalism, fraudulent or criminal acts or anything that could encourage others to commit illegal acts or acts that could cause physical harm if replicated.

THEFT: copy and paste large chunks from other sites or include copyrighted material in your post.

VIRUS RISK: link to any kind of media or executable file directly. If you suspect someone has attempted to post one, DO NOT open it. Please note Channel 4 is not responsible for third party sites.

BICKERING: get into personal arguments with other users. We do not allow the abuse of other commenters.

SAFETY: give out any personal information about yourself or another person, especially contact information. If you wish to nominate an Osama (or yourself if you are called Osama) please use this form.

CONFIDENTIALITY: transmit any confidential or sensitive information.

LIES & COURT CASES: say untrue things about people or companies as this may be defamatory or mention any court cases or arrests as this may constitute a contempt of court.

SPAM: post any material containing any form of advertising or promotion for goods, services, junk mail, chain letters or “spam”.

DELETED COMMENTS: repeatedly re-post deleted comments.

FOREIGN LANGUAGE: post comments in a language other than English.

LINKS: You can link to any website to illustrate your comment so long as it is not:

1. commercially motivated;


2. does not breach any third parties’ copyright;


3. a direct link to a media or executable file, e.g. wmv, mp4, mov, mp3, pdf;


4. a link to obscene or unlawful content; or


5. considered spam or off-topic.

Please be aware that Channel 4 reserves the right to refuse to post comments and/or to edit or remove any comments that it feels is necessary to maintain a pleasant and constructive community tone. We also reserve the right to terminate your account and/or ban you from the Site if you breach any of these rules. If you think you have been banned, contact chat@channel4.com. Do not register a new name as that will lengthen any ban.

We further reserve the right to suspend, halt or otherwise interrupt the service, either for maintenance or any other reason. We will do our best to let you know of any planned downtime in advance.
